Djibouti is a small country in the Horn of Africa, bounded by Eritrea to the north, Ethiopia to the west and south, and Somalia to the southeast. To the east it meets the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. Most of the country is semi-arid or arid, with sparse rainfall.
