Happy 19th Birthday Onyo!

Sometimes you get to have a party for your 19 year old lion! It’s pretty rare though! Our boy Onyo’s birthday is today, December 12! He was thrilled to get a box to shred and some tasty snacks to eat! Thanks Keepers Gretchen and Maria for the love!

Mali’s Dental Surgery

The zoo’s veterinary team is always striving to get to the ‘root’ of the problem. Earlier this month, African lioness Mali underwent a root canal on her top right incisor. Thanks to the stellar work of the vet team, she was back in her habitat with the rest of the pride a day later and is doing well. Let’s hear it for the veterinary team keeping our critters healthy!
