Bonobo Vernon Celebrates 49th Birthday – Cincinnati Zoo
Happy 49th birthday! Vernon is the oldest mammal at the Cincinnati Zoo. He has sired 17 offspring since 1978, including Amali & Bo! Bonobos are endangered due to deforestation & poaching, so each birth is critical to this species survival.
