Zoo Knoxville is excited to announced the birth of a very rare new hatchling! For the first time, Zoo Knoxville hatched a rare “Blue crowned laughingthrush” on July 16. This bird will serve an ambassador for its critically endangered counterparts in the wild. With less than 200 remaining in the wild, they are threatened by development and the illegal pet trade in their native China.
Baby Bobcat Makes Friends With Feral Kittens
Papi the rehab bobcat was introduced to two feral kittens in an attempt for Papi to learn some feral behaviors to set him up for success in the wild. The two kittens have currently been pulled from Papi, are being socialized, and are ready for adoption.
