Singing Morelet’s Seedeater
A male Morelet’s Seedeater (Sporophila morelleti) (formerly White-collared Seedeater S. torqueola) displaying its strong song in the lowlands of Guatemala. Sporophila seedeater were once placed in the family of buntings (Emberizidae), but are now considered tanagers (Thraupidae).
