Are Wolves Hungry For Human Blood?

Transcript:
Are wolves hungry for human blood? NO. In fact, there has only been one documented fatal wolf attack in the United States (specifically Alaska) in the last 100 years, and the last recorded wolf attack in the continental United States was in 1893. Meanwhile there are 50 lightning fatalities in the United States per year according to NOAA. So although wolves are at the top of the food chain, humans aren’t on the menu. Myth busted.

Defenders of Wildlife works on the ground, in the courts, and on Capitol Hill to protect and restore imperiled wildlife and habitats across North America. Together, we can ensure a future for the wildlife and wild places we all love.
