Ariana Grande is by far one of today’s most recognized and popular performers. She was born on June 26, 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida. When Grande was a child she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater. While she was with this troupe she appeared in Beauty And The Beast, The Wizard Of Oz, and even played the lead role in Annie. When Grande was only 10 years old she co-founded a Florida youth singing group which was named Kids Who Care; this act performed at charitable fundraisers. She was once given the opportunity to sing “The Star Spangled Banner” at a Florida Panthers home game.
In 2008 Ariana Grande was given the role of cheerleader Charlotte in the Broadway musical 13. During her time with this musical, North Broward Preparatory School; the school she was enrolled in, would send Grande material that she had to study with tutors.
In 2009, Ariana Grande was given the role of Cat Valentine in the weekly series, Victorious, which aired on Nickelodeon. The show was set at a performing arts high school. Victorious aired from 2010 to 2013. Grande got to keep the role of Cat Valentine in Sam & Cat which was a spin-off from Victorious and Icarly(another Nickelodeon show). Sam & Cat aired on Nickelodeon from June 2013 to July 2014. Some of Grande’s other roles include; the voice of Snowflake in the English dub version of Snowflake: The White Gorilla(2013), and as Riley Bina in the 2021 film Don’t Look Up.
Besides from being an actress; Grande is also a talented singer-songwriter. Her music is a blend of pop, R&B, electronic dance music(EDM), and trap. Some of her albums include; Yours Truly(released on September 3, 2013), My Everything(released on August 22, 2014), Dangerous Woman(released on May 20, 2016), Sweetener(released on August 17, 2018), Thank U, Next(released on February 8, 2019), and Positions(was released on October 30, 2020). She won New Artist Of The Year at the American Music Awards in 2013, and Favorite Breakout Artist at the People’s Choice Awards in 2014. She also won International Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards in 2019.
In November 2021 Grande started her own cosmetics company which she named R.E.M. Beauty. These beauty products are available at Ultra Beauty which is an American chain of beauty stores. R.E.M. Beauty won Best New Brand at The Allure Beauty Awards in 2022; and also won Best Fashion And Beauty at the Webby Awards in 2022 as well.
On March 8, 2024 Grande released her seventh studio album; Eternal Sunshine.
Ariana Grande contributes to several charities, including; Cancer Research Institute, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Melanoma Research Alliance, People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals(PETA), Ryan Seacrest Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
