Meet Mumbles, Zoo Atlanta’s first southern white rhino, in the all-new Rhino Wild Encounter! During this encounter, a Zoo Educator will introduce you to facts about southern white rhinos and ways to help this remarkable species. Then you’ll meet a Rhino Care Team member who will help you get up-close to feed and touch Mumbles and learn about rhino care at Zoo Atlanta.🦏

World Rhino Day

A #WorldRhinoDay meal fit for a king, eaten entirely by King. Black rhinos have suffered some of the most drastic population decline of any rhino species over the last 50 years. In 1970, it was estimated that there were 65,000 black rhinos roaming Africa. Today, it’s estimated that there are around 5,000.
