Reintroduction is simply a conservation tool. This is when wildlife biologists take animals from one area and put them into another for the purposes of recovering the species overall. Maybe this is historical habitat that they’re no longer found in due to elimination or other natural disasters. Maybe it’s new habitat that’s suitable for them today

Did you know the Florida panther is the only cougar population east of the Mississippi? Today, the panther is recognized as Florida’s official state animal, but it is also one of the most endangered mammals in the country.
