Ollie and Rita Jean: Double the Trouble!

Double the baby elephants means double the trouble! Asian elephants Rita Jean and Ollie are growing up before our eyes and developing a true brother and sister bond along the way.

Recently, these two calves have started engaging in play together, including mock charges, trunk wrestling, and running, which is beneficial for both to help develop their social skills. At this stage, Rita Jean is growing in independence – venturing farther from her mother, exploring new areas, and of course, initiating play with Ollie!
