Webinar – Paint Your Own Sea Otter

This paint night is for sea otter fans of all ages and skill levels! No previous painting experience is required. Follow along as local Alaskan artist Kari Becker teaches you step-by-step how to paint a sea otter. You will also learn about Defenders’ sea otter work from Alaska Representative Katy Nalven.

Lights Out for Birds – Protect Their Journeys

Spring is in the air and so are millions of migrating birds flying across the U.S. Intense lights can attract and disorient birds, drawing them into the dangers of cities. Every year close to a billion birds die in building collisions in the U.S. and Canada alone. With Texas home to several bright cities along the critical central flyway, BirdCast has made a mission of asking building owners, businesses, developers, and homeowners to turn off nonessential lights during peak migration time.
