The 11-week-old warthog piglets at Zoo Atlanta have experienced their latest exciting milestone: receiving names. Each piglet had the opportunity to “choose” her name with an enrichment activity. The piglets and their parents entered their habitat to find three large balls, each labeled with the letters D (Daphne), P (Penelope), or E (Eloise) and representing names selected by the Warthog Care Team. The ball a piglet touched first became her name.

Uni took a crack at oyster shucking. Because their metabolism is 2-3 times the rate of other mammals their size, sea otters needs to eat about 25% of their weight every day.
Tropicbird Nestling’s Last Moments on Cam Before Fledging
The tropicbird chick took one last closeup in front of the cam before moving to the entrance of the burrow. About 20 minutes later the chick took flight off-camera, successfully fledging from the rocky slope of Nonsuch Island.
