We recently released one of our largest sea turtles that has been in our care since May. Nicknamed “Ava,” this sea turtle was found on the beach at Bolivar Peninsula and severely anemic and emaciated. When it was brought in, it weighed 78lbs and thanks to the care provided by our vet team and sea turtle keepers, it weighed 100lbs on release day. This release was definitely a team effort!
