NCC’s Weston Family Conservation Science Fellow Jessica Sánchez-Jasso is completing a PhD at the University of Manitoba. Her research focuses on understanding how disturbance-based prairie management activities (fire, grazing, mechanical brush control) can improve and maintain habitat for two endangered butterflies in Manitoba. Results from her research will support the recovery of Poweshiek skipperling and Dakota Skipper butterflies.
