National Parks Of The U.S.A.: Katmai National Park & Preserve

Katmai National Park and Preserve is located in southwest Alaska, The park is named after Mount Katmai; Mount Katmai is a stratovolcano that is located in the park. Katmai is open year-round.

National Parks Of The U.S.A.: Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park became the first national park  in the United States of America on March 1, 1872. Yellowstone is located largely in the northwest corner of Wyoming, but also extends into Montana and Idaho. 

Wildlife

Yellowstone National Park is home to nearly 300 species of birds, 16 species of fish, five species of amphibians, 6 species of reptiles, and 67 species of mammals. Two of the best locations in Yellowstone National Park for viewing wildlife are Yellowstone river valley, and Lamar river valley.

Jasper National Park

Jasper National Park is over 11,000 square kilometers making it the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. It is home to a diverse group of wildlife and famous for its beautiful scenery of nature. It’s surrounded by other parks like Banff National Park that are all part of UNESCO’s Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.

Banff National Park

Banff National Park was established in 1885 making it one of Canada’s first-ever registered national parks. It’s located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of Alberta just an hour and a half west of Calgary. The park encompasses 1,641,027 acres of diverse ecoregions.
