Canada’s wildlife is facing unprecedented threats. From climate change to habitat loss, pollution, and homes being destroyed by the effects of climate change, brought on by human activity, the once-vibrant ecosystems that span our nation are now in rapid decline. Species that once thrived in abundance are now on the brink of extinction.
In the heart of Southern Africa, Liuwa Plains National Park was once teeming with wildlife, but war and poaching left it nearly lifeless. Now, a dedicated team of conservationists is bringing it back to life, tracking predators and restoring the balance of this fragile ecosystem. With Lions(Panthera leo) returning and hyenas still dominant, the park’s future hangs in the balance, but hope is on the horizon as grazing herds begin to repopulate the golden plains.
