Bringing life back to Europe’s rivers
Around 60% of Europe’s rivers are in bad health and freshwater biodiversity is continuing to decline at an alarming speed. WWF’s ambitious Living European Rivers initiative aims to ensure that the continent’s rivers and wetlands are healthy by 2030 – providing diverse benefits to people and nature, including reversing the loss of biodiversity and building resilience to the impacts of climate change.
