Jasper National Park is over 11,000 square kilometers making it the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. It is home to a diverse group of wildlife and famous for its beautiful scenery of nature. It’s surrounded by other parks like Banff National Park that are all part of UNESCO’s Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.

Banff National Park was established in 1885 making it one of Canada’s first-ever registered national parks. It’s located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of Alberta just an hour and a half west of Calgary. The park encompasses 1,641,027 acres of diverse ecoregions. It’s surrounded by other protected nature areas on every side including Jasper National Park, Yoho National Park, and Kootenay National Park.

Game birds are typically considered to belong in the galliform order of birds. They are called game birds because they are frequently hunted for meat and for sport. Galliformes consist of some of the most well-known birds such as peacocks, pheasants, turkeys, and chickens. Galliforms are mostly flightless or short distance birds that are usually more comfortable on the ground than in the air.
