… ContinueWe’re celebrating two tortally wonderful hatchdays! Egyptian tortoise ‘Giza’ turned one on July 8th, while ‘Sphinx’ turned one on July 18th!
It’s incredible to think these two torts are just one year old – they’re still so tiny! Egyptian tortoises reach maturity at five years, and as of now, we haven’t determined their sexes.
Giza and Sphinx mark a significant milestone as the first successful Egyptian tortoise hatchlings since the species arrived at the zoo a decade ago. We’re thrilled that they bring hope to this Critically Endangered
