#Vote4Wildlife with Andrew Bowman

This YouTube video was produced by Defenders Of Wildlife.

At Defenders Of Wildlife, we’re often asked: “What do politics have to do with saving wildlife?” The answer: everything.

Legislation like the Endangered Species Act gives us the best chance to protect wildlife and safeguard habitats, ensuring healthy ecosystems and helping to combat threats like the biodiversity and climate crisis. Protecting wildlife is not a partisan issue. Be sure you’re registered to vote and inform yourself about what’s at stake for wildlife. -Andrew Bowman, President & CEO

Video Transcript:

Hello, I’m Andrew Bowman, President and CEO of Defenders Of Wildlife.

As Election Day approaches, I encourage all of us to do our homework to see where the candidates stand when it comes to America’s wildlife.

Threatened and endangered species across the country have so much at stake in this election.

And why is that?

Because too often wildlife policies are based on today’s politics rather than the best available science.

Like you, we will be closely watching the results of this election and hoping for results that give us the tools and opportunities to better protect America’s wildlife.

But please know that no matter who wins, we will continue to do everything we can day in and day out to protect America’s wildlife.

Thank you for all you do to help us do that work and to help protect America’s wildlife.

Defenders Of Wildlife works on the ground, in the courts, and on Capitol Hill to protect and restore imperiled wildlife and habitats across North America.
