What are some of your favorite wildlife encounters? Were they in a national park, wildlife refuge, or your own backyard? No matter where you encounter wildlife it is important to give them space and be respectful of their home.
Transcript:
Nature is all around us. Hawks, owls, wild turkeys, turtles, snakes, chipmunks, caterpillars, monarch butterflies, groundhogs, deer, and even foxes and black bears are species that I’ve been lucky enough to see on my runs. Remember, you may be in their home, so be respectful and share the trails. Next time you go outside, be sure to take a moment to look around and see what wildlife you can spot. Head over to defenders.org to learn how to protect these wildlife and wild places.
Defenders of Wildlife works on the ground, in the courts, and on Capitol Hill to protect and restore imperiled wildlife and habitats across North America.
