We are so grateful for our members and supporters! You helped us raise more than $1.6 million for bird conservation. These critical funds will be put to work making ABC’s bold plans for 2024 a reality, including:
– Planting trees and shrubs and conserving land to benefit some of the world’s most endangered bird species, including the Purple-backed Sunbeam and Marvelous Spatuletail of Peru; – Creating new protected areas for rare and threatened bird species like Colombia’s Cundinamarca Antpitta; – Improving hundreds of thousands of acres of habitat for rapidly declining bird species, such as the Northern Bobwhite and Canada Warbler, across grasslands, riversides, and forests; and, – Making all bird habitats safer — in the air, near the water, and on the ground — from helping to reduce window collisions involving species such as the Red-Eyed Vireo, to partnering on volunteer and education opportunities that address trash pollution problems and their negative impact on species like the Piping Plover, and advocating for limits on the use of insecticides that affect the food supply for species like the Western Meadowlark.
