Since 2020, Black Birders Week has drawn attention to and celebrated the roles of Black biologists and nature enthusiasts. This video features commentary from several Black Birders Week organizers and participants about how it all got started, where it’s headed, and some favorite moments from the 2021 events—providing a behind-the-scenes view of the inspiration, idealism, and optimism that has made Black Birders Week possible.
